As a HSSE Advisor for the FMNA Business Unit, you'll support the EMEA HSSE Lead across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, ensuring employees and subcontractors return home safely while maintaining legal and client compliance. This highly visible, client-facing role requires delivering timely HSW information and counsel to critical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. You must identify HSW risks, foster strong safety culture, and deliver world-class results with improved productivity and flawless execution. You'll help shape workplace management's future, creating rewarding opportunities, amazing spaces, and sustainable solutions for clients, people, and communities while supporting JLL's HSSE strategy implementation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the EMEA HSSE Lead with the Implementation of JLL WD HSSE strategic objectives, in line with Client HSW programs
  • Support the EMEA HSSE Lead on their deliverables for the BU focusing on the management and reduction of operational risks across the accounts
  • Provide technical advice on relevant HSW issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation
  • Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation
  • Identify transformational improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for HSW risks and opportunities
  • Ensure that both JLL, and the Client, remain compliant with legal and other requirements
  • Ensure that records are in place in line with legal requirements and Client Risk Control Standards
  • Manage the collection of data and information, its analysis, and relevant outputs to enable the Client and JLL stakeholders to have clear visibility of the compliance status across the portfolio
  • Organize, implement, and maintain effective communications with all stakeholders
  • Be the HSSE representative for several of the accounts
  • Foster a ‘One Team S.A.F.E.R. Together’ culture on the account
  • Support account HSW team members in developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved
  • Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the Client, as reflected by client feedback
  • Embed JLL WD HSSE requirements and meet client requirements and standards
  • Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, supply chain partners, and 3rd party vendors
  • Contribute to the JLL Workplace Management HSSE program as an advisor reporting into the HSSE account lead and the global HSSE leadership team
  • Ensure 3rd party vendors always maintain compliance with JLL and Client HSSE Standards
  • Support with the implementation and maintenance of JLL Global HSSE operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) and Client HSW programs and processes
  • Identify and align JLL HSSE practices to Client HSW standards and requirements
  • Drive best practice HSW training programs and resources
  • Oversee the successful delivery of HSW regulatory responsibilities and best practices globally to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation
  • Oversee the successful management of assurance for the HSW program JCAP, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Preferred relevant HSSE management experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients
  • Experience in HSSE for multiple sites across multiple countries with a strong understanding of the HSE regulatory environment in major markets
  • Appropriate recognized Professional HSSE qualifications and memberships for a JLL P2 grade HSSE Advisor
  • Management system knowledge, desired, but not essential, implementation and auditing experience
  • Experience in working with a multi-cultural team of HSSE professionals
  • Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio
  • Significant practical experience of problem solving HSSE issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes
  • An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management – able to operate effectively in a matrix structure
  • A strong orientation to goals and measurable results
  • Excellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate at all levels of the account
  • A willingness to travel is a must!
