Job Description:

As the HSEQ Advisor, you’ll provide operational HSEQ support to build strong safety, environmental, and quality practices across JFD’s Sydney sites. The role works closely with project and operational teams, offering specialist advice, promoting strong reporting culture, and helping ensure safe, compliant operations within high‑risk environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing specialist HSEQ advice to operational and project teams
  • Advising on strategies to eliminate or mitigate hazards
  • Meeting HSEQ reporting requirements, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Supporting a strong reporting culture grounded in honesty and trust

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Proactive approach to HSEQ leadership
  • Certificate 4 of Health and Safety or a higher qualification
  • Experience in critical risk environments
  • Ability to lead incident investigations – ICAM Trained or other
  • Fully conversant with all relevant laws, standards, and best practices
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 management system standards
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Experience working with HAZ/DG products and software – ChemAlert, Chemwatch
  • Competent in the use of Office 365 suite and e-learning software programs
  • Ability to build audit templates and participate in audit programs
  • Personal communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of an organisation, including customers
  • Proactive, positive and solutions focused approach to work
  • Ability to work on your own and to specified timescales and project plans
