Our client, a major leader in technical manufacturing, is seeking an experienced HSE Trainer for a newly created strategic role. This position's mission is to internalize and elevate safety standards for over 1,000 employees across several industrial sites. Reporting to the Safety Director, you will be the cornerstone of the prevention culture directly on the floor, ensuring an active presence with day and night shifts.
Job Responsibility:
Lead HSE training programs (new hire orientation, forklifts, LOTO, machine safety, work at heights)
Adapt and simplify technical content for production teams
Identify training needs based on audits, risks, and incident trends
Ensure regulatory compliance and rigorous management of training records
Collaborate with local HSE advisors to standardize safety practices
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Train the Trainer certification (forklifts, aerial lifts, LOTO) or accredited trainer status
Bilingualism (English and French): Proficiency in English is required to ensure the training and safety of a workforce from diverse linguistic backgrounds (over 40 native languages spoken) and for communication with certain partners outside of Quebec
Must own a vehicle and hold a valid driver's license for travel between regional facilities (Montreal and North Shore)
Excellent pedagogical skills and comfort speaking to diverse groups
