Job Responsibility:
Promote and implement health, safety and environmental programs
Act as an internal technical resource to provide guidance and training on health, safety and environment issues
Drive success in accident prevention through implementation of Company programs
Drive compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training
Monitor and audit field related activities to ensure HSE programs are being adhered to
Implement and administer standardized plant HSE processes to ensure compliance
Drive attainment of WSIB Excellence program
Manage third party sites that customers require ATS to use to maintain HSE information
Work with suppliers to schedule inspections, audits and disposable requirements along with managing purchase orders
Coordinate communication of HSE regulatory inspection activity with site leadership
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of global HSE initiatives
Provide and maintain accurate statistical data, reports and analysis of injury trends
Assist with maintenance of HSE documents and ensure timely and accurate HSE record keeping
Requirements:
Post secondary degree or diploma in a health and safety related discipline
Minimum 1-3 years of hands on health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong understanding of HSE regulatory framework in USA and Canada
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and manage multiple demands under tight timelines
