Support compliance with company HSE policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and Department of Transportation regulations
Assist sites in maintaining compliance with applicable NFPA standards relevant to fuels and laboratory operations (including NFPA 30, NFPA 45, and NFPA 70 where applicable)
Provide technical HSE support to laboratories, inspection teams, and terminal operations within assigned geographic areas
Conduct routine site visits to laboratories, terminals, and field operations to verify implementation of HSE programs and identify opportunities for improvement
Perform safety inspections, safety walks, and hazard identification activities within operational locations
Assist with the implementation of corporate HSE programs including PPE management, hazard communication, job safety analysis, safety observations, and Stop Work Authority
Assist with incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and development of corrective and preventive actions
Track and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure and effectiveness
Assist with maintaining contractor compliance systems including ISNetworld, Veriforce, or Avetta
Support sites in preparing for client safety audits and regulatory inspections
Assist with maintaining HSE records including inspections, safety observations, training records, and incident reports
Support delivery and coordination of HSE training programs for employees and contractors
Assist with tracking HSE performance indicators, safety metrics, and reporting requirements
Provide recommendations for corrective actions related to unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, or regulatory compliance gaps
Support Site Safety Coordinators (SSC) by assisting with communication, coordination of safety initiatives, and training support
Participate in internal audits, safety assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support the Regional HSE Manager with preparation of safety reports, documentation, and compliance updates
Maintain professional conduct and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
Perform other HSE related tasks, projects, or initiatives assigned by HSE leadership
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general U.S. occupational safety requirements
Familiarity with NFPA fire protection and laboratory safety standards
Experience supporting safety programs in laboratory, industrial, energy, or fuels environments preferred
Familiarity with contractor safety compliance platforms such as ISNetworld, Veriforce, or Avetta is preferred
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently while supporting multiple operational locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general information systems
Willingness to travel to operational sites as required. (travel required 25%-30%)
