Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Lead to join our Service Stream industrials team based in the NSW Central West region. This role is responsible for overseeing HSE operations within a Service Stream industrials project. The role shall support Service Stream’s risk management and compliance framework. The HSE Lead shall foster a strong safety culture that aligns with Service Stream’s safety vision.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide specialist HSE advice to the project team, ensuring alignment with Service Stream’s safety vision and implementation of HSE policies, systems, programs and initiatives
  • Collaboratively work with client and project key stakeholders to facilitate the management of HSE related risks and the implementation of effective controls
  • Conduct site visits and field leadership activities to ensure visibility and adherence to HSE standards
  • Support risk management processes, including HSE compliance, hazard identification, and corrective action implementation
  • Project field work, critical control effectiveness and investigations, verify HSEMPs
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections, and HSE management system enhancements
  • Coaching of project team and workers in relation to their HSE management obligations

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in an HSE role within heavy industry, infrastructure maintenance, construction, civil works, or mining industries, highly regarded
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar HSE related role
  • Working knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001
  • and the Office of the federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) Accreditation
  • Strong communication skills including the proficient use of Microsoft Programs
  • Relevant qualification in WHS/OHS/Environment, Engineering, operational risk, science based degrees preferred
  • Incident Investigation Qualified – preferably ICAM Lead Investigator
  • Lead Auditor certification in either of WHS, Environment, or Quality
  • Return to Work training
  • Valid current Australian Full Driver’s Licence
