The HSE Coordinator will support the HSE team in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship.
Job Responsibility:
Administrative Support
Assist in maintaining HSE documentation, records, and filing systems
Update and distribute safety procedures and policies
Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
Maintain training records and certification databases
Schedule HSE meetings, inspections, and training sessions
Safety Support Activities
Site inspections and audits with senior HSE oversight
Help conduct workplace safety walkthroughs and observations
Assist in incident investigations and documentation
Support the implementation of corrective actions
Help maintain safety notice boards and communication materials
Data Management & Reporting
Collect and compile HSE statistics and performance data
Track safety metrics and KPIs under supervision
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly HSE reports
Maintain incident and near-miss logs
Monitor completion of safety actions and follow-ups
Training Coordination
Conduct HSE training sessions
Assist in preparing training materials and presentations
Track employee training attendance and compliance
Help organize safety awareness campaigns and events
Support new employee HSE inductions
Compliance Assistance
Help ensure regulatory documentation is current
Assist in maintaining permits and licenses
Support preparation for audits and inspections
Learn and apply relevant HSE regulations and standards
General Support
Respond to basic HSE queries from employees
Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist in organizing emergency drills
Support environmental monitoring activities
Perform other HSE-related duties as assigned
Incident Investigation
Assist in incidents investigate and near-misses within the laboratory, providing detailed reports and recommendations for prevention
Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure all laboratory personnel are prepared for emergencies
Travel and Site Visits
Conduct regular site visits to multiple laboratory facilities, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field OR associate degree with strong interest in HSE career path
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Good organizational and time management abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new software
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Eager to learn and develop HSE expertise
