Job Description:

Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 2 leader in Commercial & Industrial Construction, seeking a HSE Advisor to join the team on a permanent basis working across large scale commercial and industrial projects in North Brisbane. In this role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, and wellbeing of contractors and employees on large scale construction projects, and ensure the upkeep of documentation and compliances pertaining to the completion of safe work. Our client has a strong reputation and pipeline of work for sustainable ongoing employment across Health, Education, Warehousing, and Multi-Residential scopes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Champion safety to promote a positive workplace culture, and drive improved HSE outcomes across site teams, and the wider business
  • Facilitate site inductions and onboarding for employees and contractors
  • Provide ongoing training and development guidance to project teams
  • Conduct regular on-site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safe working procedures and legislative WHS protocols
  • Monitor high-risk work activities and manage detailed risk assessments to mitigate hazards and maintain a safe working environment
  • Provide industry-leading advice on HSE objectives and strategies to project management and support the direct the implementation of safety systems
  • Investigate WHS incidents, complete documentation for reporting, and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
  • Work across Hammertech and Procore systems to maintain WHS documentation

Requirements:

  • 3+ Years HSE Experience in onsite construction
  • Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum Cert IV in WHS)
  • General Construction Induction
  • Full Working Rights within Australia
  • Experience with Hammertech & Procore (Desirable, not essential)
  • Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
