Job Description

Turner Lovell are currently recruiting for two experienced HSE Advisors to support major renewable energy and infrastructure projects in Scotland. These are separate opportunities both operating on high-profile, fast-track construction programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to join leading delivery teams, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across complex civil and M&E works, including HV/MV installations. Across both projects, you will play a key role in driving HSE performance on-site, working closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide visible HSE leadership & provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters as required
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections, identifying risks and areas for improvement
  • Review RAMS where required
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, and briefings
  • Lead the implementation of HSE initiatives and best practices
  • Monitor subcontractor and internal team compliance, managing and closing out non-conformances
  • Conduct incident investigations where required
  • Deliver site inductions and HSE training
  • Represent HSE at site, project, and safety meetings
  • Ensure all subcontractor HSE documentation is compliant, up to date, and aligned with current legislation
  • Support site management in preparing the project safety file for client handover

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HSE Advisor within construction environments
  • Experience on renewable energy, HV substation, or other safety-critical infrastructure projects (highly desirable)
  • NEBOSH & Formal HSE qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 6 or equivalent)
  • Strong ability to identify risks and implement effective preventative measures
  • Experience working within fast-paced construction programmes
