Job Description:

Randstad Recruitment is supporting an existing partner in the Tier 2 Commercial Construction Sector, seeking a contract HSE Advisor to join the team, completing works across the central & southern Gold Coast regions. In the role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, and oversee High Risk works on-site, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees & contractors.

Job Responsibility:

Liaise and report with members of project management
Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox talks
Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
Ensure the implementation of WHS & Environment protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence

Requirements:

Vocational or Tertiary qualification in WHS (Minimum Cert IV)
Open Driver’s License
General Construction Induction “White Card”
Full Working Rights within Australia
Previous experience working on Hi-Rise Developments
Previous experience with direct involvement of on-site safety management
Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
