Randstad Recruitment has partnered with a Tier 2 Construction Group seeking a Contract HSE Advisor to assist an existing team on a project based in Nambour. This contract is scheduled for a 6 month period with the opportunity for extension or permanent considerations. In the role of a HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, redevelop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox talks
Maintain a boots on the ground presence with project management and other contractors to achieve positive HSE outcomes
Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
Complete HSE compliance and documentation as required
Liaise and report with members of project management
Support Project and Site Management with the implementation of HSE systems and processes
Ensure the implementation of WHS protocols to maintain compliance with current legislation
Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams
Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSE outcomes
Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence in the event an incident occurs
Requirements:
2+ Years HSE Experience
Commercial construction experience
Comprehensive understanding of QLD WHS Legislation
Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Safety (Minimum Cert IV)
