We are seeking a process-driven, hands-on HRMS Manager to own and optimize a recently implemented Workday HRMS environment within a fast-growing, multi-entity organization. This role will focus heavily on post-implementation stabilization, system governance, and process refinement, with a longer-term emphasis on optimization and expansion of platform capabilities in future phases. The ideal candidate thrives in complex, evolving environments and enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to systems and processes that are still maturing. This is a high-impact role that partners closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and operational leaders to ensure the HR technology ecosystem effectively supports business growth and workforce needs.
Job Responsibility
Serve as the primary system owner and administrator for Workday
Manage day-to-day configuration, business processes, security roles, and system maintenance
Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across the HRMS environment
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution across HR, IT, Payroll, and external partners
Maintain documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures
Act as the primary SME and escalation point for Workday-related needs
Lead post-implementation stabilization efforts including issue resolution, data cleanup, and process consistency
Evaluate existing configurations and identify opportunities for simplification and standardization
Balance urgent operational needs with long-term system scalability and optimization
Establish governance, structure, and prioritization frameworks in a fast-moving environment
Support and monitor integrations across payroll, benefits, IT systems, and other business platforms
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and reliable data flows
Troubleshoot integration issues and support API-based system connections
Ensure consistency and accuracy of data movement across downstream systems
Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and system insights to support decision-making
Improve visibility into workforce data across the employee lifecycle
Support data analysis needs in partnership with HR and business stakeholders
Provide training and ongoing support for HR and business users
Translate technical system functionality into clear, actionable guidance
Partner cross-functionally to improve adoption and user experience
Support and mentor junior HRIS/HR team members as applicable
Requirements
6+ years of hands-on experience supporting HRIS/HRMS platforms, with strong Workday expertise
Deep experience in Core HCM and business process configuration
Strong understanding of security administration, role-based access, and system governance
Experience supporting integrations across HR, payroll, and related systems
Proven ability to operate in complex, high-growth, or multi-entity environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast-paced settings
Nice to have
Exposure across multiple Workday modules (Talent, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning, etc.)
Experience supporting field-based or distributed workforces
Experience working with complex workforce populations, including unionized environments and multiple collective bargaining agreements
Familiarity with reporting tools, dashboards, or analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL)
Experience in highly integrated HR technology ecosystems
