Job Description

We’re supporting a well-established organisation in the education sector to recruit a HR Systems Analyst to join their HR function during a key system stabilisation phase following a recent HR system implementation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands-on role in supporting and improving HR systems, while contributing to data quality, process optimisation, and user support.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR systems queries, helping to manage transactional activity, triage requests, and ensure smooth day-to-day system operations
  • Manage and triage HR systems queries (including HR platform and workforce scheduling tools)
  • Respond to helpdesk requests and resolve transactional queries
  • Perform data updates, corrections, and validation
  • Support system users and troubleshoot basic issues
  • Maintain employee data and system integrity
  • Create and manage work schedules within the HR system
  • Track workload trends, volumes, and SLAs using Excel
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and knowledge articles
  • Escalate complex issues where required
  • Support testing activities (fixes, patches, enhancements)
  • Contribute to data cleansing and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience with HR systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion HCM or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. lookups, data validation, tracking & reporting)
  • Experience working in a systems or data-driven environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritise high-volume transactional work
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience handling queries/helpdesk-style requests
  • Clear and professional written communication
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues

Nice to have

  • Background in HR systems, HR admin, or HRIS environments
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g. ServiceNow or similar)
  • Experience supporting UAT, system changes, or data fixes
  • Understanding of data quality and governance principles
  • Experience in higher education, public sector, or regulated environments
