HR Business Partnering & Departmental Support• Serve as the HR Business Partner for assigned divisions or functions, providing day-to-day andstrategic people support• Partner with business leaders to understand business objectives and translate them into practicalpeople actions• Support organization design, workforce planning, role clarity, and headcount discussions• Provide guidance to managers on people management, leadership behaviors, and employeeengagement
Performance management, Talent & Development Support• Support execution of performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year reviews,and year-end evaluations• Partner with Talent Management to support talent review, succession planning, and developmentactions for assigned organizations• Support onboarding and early engagement of new joiners in collaboration with Talent Acquisitionand Talent Management
Employee & Labor Relations• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues within assigned organizations• Handle employee and labor-related matters in collaboration with HR Operations, ensuringcompliance with Japan labor laws and company policies• Support investigations, corrective actions, and issue resolution as required
Data, Analytics & Continuous Improvement• Analyze HR data and engagement survey results at the division level• Identify trends and issues related to turnover, engagement, performance, and workforcecomposition• Provide insights and recommendations to business leaders and HR leadership
Change & Organizational Effectiveness• Support and participate in change management initiatives, applying structured approaches tominimize people impact• Partner with business leaders on organizational effectiveness, culture, and team dynamics• Support implementation of global and local HR initiatives within assigned organizations
Collaboration & Professional Contribution• Collaborate closely with:o Talent Acquisition on hiring needs, onboarding, and workforce planningo Talent Management on development, engagement, and succession actionso HR Operations on policy, labor, compensation, and compliance matters• Participate in local and global HR projects or communities as assigned• Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of HRBP services
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
Typically 5–8 years of HRBP and/or broad HR experience
Experience in multinational or matrix organizations preferred
Solid knowledge of HR principles, policies, and practices
Good understanding of Japan labor laws and employee relations
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics
Ability to influence managers and leaders without authority
High integrity, strong judgment, and emotional intelligence
Fluency in Japanese (native level) and English (business level)
