Our client, MineARC Systems, is the global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunnelling, chemical processing, disaster relief, and biotechnology industries. Exporting to over 80 countries worldwide, they have seven offices and three manufacturing facilities globally, with Head Office based in Perth. They are seeking a dedicated and successful professional to join their team in South Africa as the HR & Systems Manager / Executive Assistant.
Job Responsibility:
Executive Committee Support: Contribute to business strategy as a member of the Executive Committee. Act as a high-level strategic partner and sounding board to the General Manager, helping to remove operational barriers and improve cross-departmental communication
Human Resources Management: Oversee the full HR function including recruitment (from job posting to interviews), onboarding, staff training and development, and performance management. Manage market salary benchmarking, employment contracts, and ensure HR compliance
Systems & Quality Management: Act as the Quality Management Representative, conducting internal audits, managing external audit processes, and implementing corrective actions. Oversee the Quality Management Manuals and liaise with the IT service provider on system performance, security, and maintenance
Administration & Business Support: Manage company travel, property administration, and the Admin/IT budget. Review and negotiate contract amendments and maintain the contract register. Provide internal IT support and assist with system improvements
Policy & Compliance: Develop, maintain, and implement HR policies and procedures. Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs. Ensure company equipment is returned upon staff exit and conduct exit interviews
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in HR or a similar role
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is advantageous
Proven experience as a strategic partner or advisor to senior management (GM or C-suite) is advantageous
Strong proficiency with HRIS and other HR-related software
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation
Demonstrated initiative, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to manage conflicts and mediations
Office management or similar experience is advantageous
