Our client, an innovative biotechnology company in Carlsbad, is hiring an HR Summer Associate to support key human resources initiatives during the upcoming summer program. This opportunity is designed for graduate-level students who are interested in gaining meaningful experience within a dynamic and research-driven industry while working alongside experienced HR professionals. The HR Summer Associate will have the opportunity to participate in projects that support talent development, organizational initiatives, and employee engagement efforts within a high-growth biotech environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Support HR initiatives and departmental projects during the summer program
  • Assist with talent development and employee engagement activities
  • Conduct research and analysis related to HR programs and policies
  • Collaborate with HR team members on internal projects and reporting
  • Assist with documentation and HR communications
  • Participate in meetings and provide insights to ongoing HR initiatives

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field with an expected graduation between late 2026 and mid-2027
  • At least one year of professional experience following completion of an undergraduate degree preferred
  • Previous exposure to corporate or global work environments is beneficial
  • Interest in life sciences, biotechnology, or STEM-focused industries is a plus
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and engagement in academic or professional settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships
