We have an exciting new Human Resource Specialist opportunity available within our dynamic HR team. This role is key to elevating our HR and People Development programs by analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting workforce and job data to generate insights that support strategic business results.
Job Responsibility:
Perform compensation benchmarking and market analysis, including base salaries and incentives, to evaluate external competitiveness and internal equity
Participate in salary surveys, interpret market data, and provide clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to HR leaders and the business
Conduct job evaluations by reviewing and analyzing job duties, scope, responsibility, and complexity to determine appropriate classification, grade, and internal equity for new and existing roles
Maintain and support consistent application of job evaluation and compensation practices across functions
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of compensation frameworks, guidelines, and structures that drive performance while maintaining equity and market relevance
Maintain HR data tools integrity by ensuring the accurate and consistent input of data. Performs regular audits and addresses data concerns
Analyze data and statistics for trends, patterns, with attention to hiring practices, turnover, diversity, engagement, etc.
Supports the coordination and compilation of data used to assess workforce and succession planning
Keeping apprised of relevant best practices, making recommendations and administering/coordinating changes to relevant program as required
Coordinate and assist with human resource projects, programs, and special assignments
Requirements:
2-4 years of relevant human resource analyst/specialist experience
Demonstrated ability to act as an HRMS super user, with hands-on experience in reporting, audits, workflow management, and applicant tracking systems (preferably Workday)
University degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources
Experience utilizing compensation theory, principles, and practices to perform independent analysis of programs using market data
Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
Above average analytical skills, especially in other MS Office suite products
Must have strong data mining, quantitative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with ability to research and analyze various types of data
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation, and facilitation skills as well as interpersonal and consultative skills
The ability to use sound judgment, discretion, is highly trustworthy and demonstrates ethical conduct
Strong business acumen and organizational agility
Demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team with the proven ability to act in both the strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced environment
High levels of initiative, enthusiasm, and reliability
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to have:
Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
