We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to support key people operations for a Contract position based in Houston, Texas. This role is well suited for someone who brings strong knowledge of HR administration, payroll coordination, onboarding, recruiting support, and HR systems management. The ideal candidate will operate with a high level of accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and provide dependable support across day-to-day human resources activities.
Job Responsibility:
Manage core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, documentation, and policy-related administration
Process payroll activities accurately and on schedule while helping resolve employee pay-related questions and discrepancies
Prepare and distribute offer letters and support hiring logistics in coordination with recruiters and hiring managers
Maintain employee records within HRIS platforms, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and compliance with internal standards
Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, responding professionally and escalating issues when appropriate
Support benefits and compliance-related HR tasks in environments that require careful handling of sensitive and regulated information
Assist with recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and pre-employment steps
Contribute to HR system updates, process improvements, and related operational changes as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in human resources at a level beyond administrative support, with broad exposure to employee-facing HR operations
Hands-on payroll experience, including work with ADP or a comparable payroll platform
Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and confidence maintaining accurate personnel data
Experience supporting onboarding activities, offer letter preparation, and recruiting coordination
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Familiarity with employee relations support and HR administration in regulated environments, including HIPAA-sensitive settings
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively
