We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will oversee essential human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring smooth operations and a positive workplace environment. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to contribute to organizational success while growing your HR expertise.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process
Coordinate comprehensive onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the organization effectively
Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance on workplace issues
Develop, update, and enforce HR policies to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
Assist managers with performance evaluations and support the implementation of improvement plans
Manage payroll coordination and oversee the administration of benefits programs
Organize and track employee training sessions to meet organizational development goals
Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring all documentation aligns with legal and company standards
Support leadership with strategic insights to enhance workforce management and productivity
Requirements:
Previous experience in human resources, ranging from entry-level to mid-level roles
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with employees and management
Proficiency in HR systems and general office software
Knowledge of employee relations practices and workplace compliance regulations
Familiarity with onboarding procedures and training coordination
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and their application within HR processes
