We are looking for a dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting employees during significant life events, such as medical leaves, parental leave, and other protected absences. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with leave laws while delivering a compassionate and service-oriented employee experience.
Job Responsibility:
Administer leave-of-absence programs with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and empathy
Collaborate with employees, managers, payroll, and third-party administrators to ensure seamless leave processes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leave laws and regulations, ensuring all programs meet legal requirements
Support employees through medical leaves, parental leave, and other protected absences with professionalism and care
Oversee the documentation and tracking of leave requests using HRIS systems
Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of employee information
Identify opportunities for process improvements within leave administration and recommend solutions
Provide guidance on employee relations matters related to leave and absence policies
Assist with onboarding processes to ensure new hires are informed about leave programs and benefits
Requirements:
Proven experience in HR administration with a focus on leave management and employee relations
Strong understanding of leave laws, including FMLA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations
Proficiency in HRIS systems and ability to manage data accurately
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in administering leave programs
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of onboarding processes and their connection to leave programs
Prior experience in a HIPAA-regulated environment is highly preferred
