We are hiring an HR Specialist for a contract opportunity in Englewood, CO. This role is responsible for supporting key HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Job Responsibility:
Support new hire onboarding and ensure a seamless employee experience
Present at New Hire Orientations
Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process
Schedules mentor, mentee, HR & hiring manager check-ins for new hires and pulls mentor data for the meeting
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assist in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
Support employee relations by supporting the Regional Human Resources Business Partner by addressing concerns, supporting investigations, and fostering a positive work environment
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Coordinate HR programs such as training and development, performance management, and wellness initiatives
Assist payroll in any reporting when needed
Generate HR reports and support audits as required
Provide general HR support and respond to general employee inquiries, including healthcare, pensions, retirement plans, and vacation time
Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies

Requirements:
2+ years human resources experience
1+ years ADP WorkforceNow experience required
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems independently and align with HR practices
Attention to detail, ethical judgment, and adaptability
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a clear and professional manner
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with emphasis on accuracy, communication and organizational skills and meeting required deadlines
Nice to have:
