We are looking for an HR Specialist to join a services organization in Greenville, South Carolina on a contract-to-permanent basis. This position focuses on creating a smooth and accurate onboarding experience by coordinating employee onboarding documentation and entering employee information into HR and payroll-related systems. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and a service-minded approach when working with clients and newly hired employees.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees by collecting required hiring documents and confirming all materials are complete
Review submitted paperwork carefully to identify missing details, inconsistencies, or compliance concerns before processing
Enter employee information into HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping platforms with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
Communicate with clients and new employees to resolve documentation questions and provide clear guidance on onboarding requirements
Maintain organized and confidential employee records in accordance with company standards and applicable privacy expectations
Support payroll and human resources teams by ensuring employee data is updated and available for downstream processing needs
Track onboarding deadlines and follow up promptly to help ensure all hiring steps are completed on schedule.
Requirements
Prior experience in human resources administration, onboarding, payroll support, or a closely related function
Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and comfort entering and validating employee data in multiple systems
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive information accurately and confidentially
Effective written and verbal communication skills when assisting clients, employees, and internal stakeholders
Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain consistency in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with employee records handling and compliance expectations within regulated or privacy-sensitive settings, including HIPAA-aware environments.
