Job Description

We're looking for an HR Specialist to join our HR team in Berlin. The role combines hands-on HR generalist work with ownership of HR projects, recruitment, and continuous improvement of how we work as a function. You will work closely with the Director, Human Resources, and the HR Manager to keep our HR operations running smoothly while moving important people initiatives forward. This role is for someone who enjoys both the structure of operational HR and the variety of project work — and who is happy to step in across topics when needed.

Job Responsibility

  • Own selected HR projects from briefing to delivery, ensuring tasks, owners, and timelines are clearly tracked
  • Translate HR priorities into clear actions, milestones, and follow-up together with the Director, Human Resources
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Run recruitment processes for our open roles, from job briefing to offer stage
  • Partner with hiring managers on role requirements, interview structure, and selection
  • Create a thoughtful and professional candidate experience throughout
  • Manage core employee lifecycle processes — onboarding, employee changes, documentation, offboarding
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure data quality in our HR systems
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR topics
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and step in across operational HR topics when required
  • Run the annual performance management cycle — communication, tracking, documentation, follow-up
  • Help managers and employees navigate timelines, expectations, and required steps
  • Prepare HR reports, overviews, presentations, and tracking documents
  • Support audits, internal reviews, and HR compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Legal, external providers, and Marriott contacts as needed

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HR operations role
  • Experience running or coordinating HR projects end-to-end
  • Solid understanding of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and the broader employee lifecycle
  • Confident working with managers and internal stakeholders across functions
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Experience in an international or hospitality environment is a plus
