This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving issues, navigating HR processes, and creating a positive employee experience through clear communication and dependable follow-through. The role will contribute to daily HR operations within a retail environment while helping resolve inquiries related to payroll, benefits, talent processes, and employee administration.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager questions submitted through cases, phone calls, and escalations, delivering timely and thorough support
Investigate HR-related issues across multiple processes and systems, identify underlying causes, and document findings clearly for internal review
Handle a range of administrative HR activities such as onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, compensation changes, and payroll-related support
Review and process transactions accurately within HR systems while maintaining careful attention to compliance and data integrity
Maintain and improve knowledge resources by updating internal guidance, procedures, and reference content as policies or practices change
Provide service with empathy, discretion, and care, ensuring each interaction supports a positive employee experience
Partner with internal teams to coordinate warm handoffs and ensure questions are routed efficiently to the appropriate resources when needed
Track recurring issues and recommend practical process improvements to reduce repeat inquiries and strengthen service delivery
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in an HR support, HR operations, or employee service role
Working knowledge of HR disciplines such as payroll, benefits, onboarding, compensation administration, and compliance
Experience using HRIS and workforce platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, HCM systems, or similar tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to respond clearly and professionally in a high-volume environment
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and meet response expectations across competing tasks
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and hiring process coordination
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, interpret policies, and recommend effective next steps
