Job Responsibility:

  • Provide specialist professional and technical expertise, advice and support to the Executive Manager HR & Safety, Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders in relation to statutory obligations and governing instruments oversight, management and compliance
  • Keep abreast of employment laws and regulations, award reviews and wage determinations and provide advice to Senior Management on high-risk IR matters
  • Oversee and maintain the operational management and continuous quality improvement of the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes for the organisation
  • Ensure the team provide accurate employee relations advice and best practice processes which ensure sound workplace relations and drive a positive and fair workplace culture
  • Oversee the organisations end to end payroll process and function in accordance with all compliance requirements
  • Contribute strategically to ongoing cultural reform and workforce planning
  • Operational management of the HR Service Teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' HR generalist experience, with demonstrated experience in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and Fair Work Commission matters
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a senior HR management role with responsibility for multiple HR Service streams and leadership of multiple teams and individuals
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check
  • Current C class drivers' licence
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Innate ability to solve problems without feeling overwhelmed
  • Comfortable with conflict and real, courageous conversations
