The People Operations’ center of excellence’s aspiration is to enable People Operations Services at scale, simplify processes and transactions, improve data quality and consistency, and help deliver a great employee experience across Microsoft. The People Operations Team provides direct support to employees as part of a centralized function to handle a variety of HR-related transactions. The team receives and responds to inquiries/requests from employees concerning HR policies/programs and appropriately routes inquiries/requests from employees to others for additional information, as needed while also leveraging AI tools. The People Operations Team processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire onboarding, compensation, benefits, termination of employment, etc. manages, maintains, and/or updates employee database; inputs employee data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database and/or documents activities as requested. As a People Operations Service Lead in Immigration team, you will perform transactions for the Europe region. You will identify areas for automation, AI support and simplification of processes to help land Immigration delivery with minimal disruptions. In this role you will perform transactions for the Europe region and will support the implementation of solutions and changes to improve a process based on an established strategy or action plan. You will ensure operational compliance with policies, laws, and regulations through the Europe region. You will maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, desk-top procedures, and knowledge-based content, and will prepare analysis for management reporting. You will conduct cross-functional data analysis, identify trends and escalated risks/concerns, and develop recommendations. This role requires a consultation, problem-solving, and a programmatic approach to drive consistency in processes & services aligned to policies. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively across geographies and functions - influencing processes to ensure they align to culture and strategic business priorities and use of metrics and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas.

  • Researches, develops, and recommends solutions to manage the service processes aligned with established practices, policies, and/or laws
  • Triages inquiries to the appropriate queue
  • Connects with peer disciplines (e.g., HR Consulting, Procurement, Finance, Engineering) to address inquires, if needed
  • Provide consulting services to HR stakeholders managers and employees on Immigration programs, processes, and initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors and stakeholders, promoting the HR shared services model and tools
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, legislative requirements, and controls by executing all tasks with high attention to quality and risk mitigation
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, desk procedures, and knowledge base content, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Lead and support the implementation of new processes and action plans, including participation in process design activities
  • Support continuous process improvement by monitoring KPIs, identifying efficiency opportunities, and driving enhancements to the employee experience

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources (HR), Business, Operations, or related field OR Bachelor AND proven relevant experience
  • Previous experience with Immigration services for the Europe region
  • Proficiency in business level English

  • Assign Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) and maintain the Sponsor Management System (SMS), including notifications and compliance updates
  • Provide expert advice on Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility visa routes, provide cost estimate, allocate costs to business units
