Job Description:

The HR Service Center Manager leads the centralized HR service delivery function, overseeing HRIS operations, employee data management, and service center staff. This role ensures efficient support for employees and managers across multiple locations, drives process improvements, ensures compliance, and partners with IT, Legal, and HR leadership to deliver a scalable and effective HR infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement the HR Service Center strategy aligned with organizational goals
  • Define service delivery standards, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other HR functions to ensure alignment and integration of services provided to employees
  • Support other Human Resources projects and strategy development as requested
  • Oversee daily operations of the HR Service Center, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
  • Design and implement policies and procedures for handling employee inquiries
  • Develop scalable methodologies and tools to streamline HR operations and minimize administrative overhead
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle
  • Develop and manage HR service tickets, SLAs, KPIs, and knowledge base usage trends to drive self-service
  • Full ownership and maintenance of HR data, including data integrity, security, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage and optimize the HRIS platform, including system configuration, upgrades, and integrations
  • Develop and implement HR reporting dashboards to support leaders, HRBPs, and business functions
  • Provide system training to increase utilization across all levels of the organization
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and data privacy regulations
  • Maintain a regulatory review matrix in collaboration with Legal to ensure timely updates and compliance
  • Recommend, select, and manage HR vendors and related contracts with other HR leaders
  • Develop, implement and manage the HR contract management support process
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of internal and external audits
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting and regulatory filings as assigned
  • Coach, mentor and develop HR Service Center team and be a contributing member of HR as a whole
  • Set clear goals for the team, provide support, and foster a culture of accountability and service excellence
  • Manage personnel actions, performance evaluations, and professional development
  • Ensure department milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets
  • Support the development and administration of the overall HR budget
  • Assist the Ajinomoto Food health plan with day-to-day activities involving protected health information (PHI), in accordance with HIPAA and company privacy policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in shared services, service delivery, operations, or HR operations
  • Demonstrated experience building or transforming a centralized service center
  • Experience leading teams, processes, and cross-functional projects
  • Exposure and collaboration with Human Resources, employee services, and or people operations
  • Strong systems, data, and process improvement skills
