Job Description:

We're looking for a highly organised and dependable HR Recruitment Administrator to take ownership of our new starter onboarding process from offer through to day one. You'll make sure every pre-employment check is completed on time, every record is accurate, and every new joiner feels supported and informed throughout. This is a compliance-critical role that sits within our HR team and operates within a regulated children's services environment. You'll be someone who takes real pride in getting the details right, stays calm under pressure, and understands that great administration makes a direct difference to the people we serve.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicating proactively with candidates throughout their onboarding journey to ensure a smooth, positive experience
  • Completing all Safer Recruitment pre-employment checks, including DBS, Right to Work, references and full employment history
  • Creating accurate employee records with the correct contracts, locations and management access assigned
  • Setting up all relevant systems and ordering equipment such as ID badges and laptops ahead of each start date
  • Keeping the onboarding tracker accurate and up to date, with regular progress updates to managers and new recruits
  • Escalating any concerns or anomalies in the onboarding process immediately
  • Ensuring strict compliance with Data Protection legislation across all activity
  • Providing ad-hoc front-office and reception cover, including welcoming visitors and preparing meeting rooms
  • Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required

Requirements:

  • Strong administration skills, comfortable managing high volumes of repetitive tasks accurately and to deadline
  • Experience in a similar administrative role, ideally supporting a diverse workforce (desirable but not essential)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, able to work accurately at pace without cutting corners
  • Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to spot problems early and bring solutions with you
  • You demonstrate complete professionalism and discretion at all times, with a genuine respect for confidentiality
  • You are committed to upholding Data Protection principles and Safer Recruitment requirements in everything you do
What we offer:
  • Life insurance (death in service) at 4x your basic annual salary
  • Health cash plan via Health Shield (after probation
  • eligibility applies)
  • Training and development, including induction, mandatory training, CPD and further qualifications
  • Free holiday accommodation at our company holiday home on the south coast
  • Discounts through Blue Light Card and local partner discounts
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), providing free and confidential 24/7 support
  • Referral bonus scheme with financial incentives for successful referrals (criteria apply)
  • Company pension with an award-winning provider and enhanced employer contributions
  • Company sick pay scheme (after 6 months' service)
  • Electric car scheme and Cycle to Work as salary sacrifice options
  • Employee of the Month and long service recognition awards
  • Discounted driving lessons with a local instructor
