We are looking for an HR Recruiter to join a construction and contractor-focused organization on a contract basis in Denver, Colorado. This role is centered on sourcing and engaging talent for high-volume hiring needs, with a strong emphasis on engineering, project management, superintendent, and other entry- to mid-level positions. The recruiter will work independently, build strong candidate pipelines, and deliver talent with relevant experience efficiently in a fast-moving environment. While the position is primarily remote, occasional onsite meetings may be expected in Denver, Colorado.
Job Responsibility
Develop and manage candidate pipelines for a range of hiring needs, with particular focus on energy, infrastructure, engineering, and field leadership roles
Identify and approach prospective candidates through direct outreach, networking, and recruiter tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter
Conduct initial candidate evaluations to assess experience, interest, and alignment with hiring requirements before passing talent to the broader team
Support high-volume recruiting activity by maintaining consistent outreach, timely follow-up, and organized candidate tracking
Partner with recruiting leaders and hiring teams to understand role priorities and adjust sourcing strategies based on market conditions
Target entry- to mid-level professionals as well as more difficult-to-fill positions that require proactive headhunting and persuasive candidate engagement
Maintain accurate activity records and candidate information within the applicant tracking system and related recruiting platforms
Contribute to recruiting efforts across multiple business areas and help sustain progress during periods of increased requisition volume
Requirements
At least 2-3 years of recruiting or sourcing experience in a corporate, agency, or search-based environment
Demonstrated success in direct sourcing, headhunting, or sales-driven recruiting work where proactive outreach is essential
Experience recruiting for construction, engineering, infrastructure, or closely related industries is strongly preferred
Ability to manage a high volume of open positions and candidate activity without close day-to-day supervision
Background in preliminary candidate screening, interview coordination, and overall talent pipeline management
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms, including experience using tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Oracle-based systems
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting partners
