We are looking for an HR Recruiter to support staffing efforts for a manufacturing organization. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent, is part-time at 20 hours per week. The role focuses on recruiting talent for both plant and business operations, with an emphasis on candidates who understand metal fabrication and aerospace-related environments. You will work closely with leadership to keep the recruitment process organized, efficient, and responsive to business needs.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with HR leadership and department managers to identify staffing needs, define role expectations, and move candidates through the recruitment process
Manage recruiting activities for manufacturing and office positions, including priority searches for quality control, machining, laser operations, sales, and related functions
Source, screen, and interview applicants with experience relevant to sheet metal production, machining, welding, and aerospace manufacturing settings
Coordinate interview schedules, team touchpoints, and daily meeting logistics to maintain momentum across active searches
Support onboarding steps for new team members and help ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance through start date
Maintain accurate recruiting and administrative records using Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, payroll platforms, and other business systems
Review and process timesheet information in a timely manner while following internal approval procedures
Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams in both office and factory environments to align recruiting activity with operational priorities
Requirements:
At least 3 years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle hiring and candidate sourcing
Background recruiting for manufacturing organizations, with preference for experience in metalworking or aerospace industries
Working knowledge of production disciplines such as sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding
Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates for both hourly and skilled-level positions
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings, schedules, and follow-up activities
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with leaders across shop floor and office-based teams
