Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Policy professional to lead and deliver a time-bound review of a defined suite of employee policies across a multi-divisional organisation. This is a delivery-focused role, responsible for coordinating input from multiple HR teams, shaping contributions into a clear and consistent Group-wide policy framework, and driving policies through to completion and readiness for legal review. You will act as the central driver of progress ensuring momentum, consistency, and quality across the policy suite. Initial focus on delivering an agreed tranche of priority policies, followed by additional policies as time allows. Each policy will include: A Group-wide core policy document outlining principles, standards, and expectations; Supporting documentation clearly outlining divisional variations through local processes or guidance. Key Deliverables: Finalised Group-wide policy documents with consistent tone, structure, and language; Clear separation and articulation of divisional differences; Policies aligned with current UK employment law and best practice; Documentation prepared and ready for legal review and governance/sign-off.

  • Take ownership of policy delivery from draft through to completion
  • Coordinate input from divisional HR stakeholders, setting clear expectations and timelines
  • Actively manage progress, ensuring pace and challenging delays
  • Draft, integrate, and refine content to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Apply working knowledge of UK employment law to inform policy development
  • Identify risks or areas requiring legal input and prepare documentation accordingly

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR policy development and review
  • Experience working within complex or multi-entity organisations
  • Ability to lead delivery and influence stakeholders without formal authority
  • Strong drafting and editing skills, with attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and recent legislative changes
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with a track record of completing projects
