We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary HR/Payroll Timecard & Paylocity Specialist to support a short-term project during an HR team member’s paid family leave. This role will focus on timecard approval, Paylocity data entry, and payroll-related support during a critical transition period that includes a switch in accounting software and an upcoming timecard function change. The ideal candidate will have strong Paylocity experience, particularly on the HRIS and payroll side, and be comfortable stepping into a fast-moving environment where processes are shifting. This person will play a key role in helping ensure time data is imported correctly and payroll-related deadlines are met for a workforce of approximately 55 employees.
Job Responsibility
Review, verify, and approve employee timecards in advance of payroll deadlines
Perform data entry and system updates within Paylocity
Support payroll processing activities tied to timekeeping and HRIS records
Help ensure time imports into Paylocity are accurate and complete
Assist during the transition of timecard functions and accounting software changes
Troubleshoot discrepancies and investigate issues to identify root causes
Partner collaboratively with finance leadership, HR consultants, and other stakeholders
Provide solutions-oriented support to maintain continuity while the HR team is out on leave
Requirements
Prior experience with Paylocity strongly preferred
Experience with payroll processing, timecard management, and HRIS data entry
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing processes
Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency around payroll deadlines
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and asking thoughtful questions
Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
Collaborative approach with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
