Looking for a stable, meaningful HR role in a supportive, family-friendly office? Join Kamaʻāina Kids as an HR Payroll Generalist and help keep our people and systems running smoothly across Hawaiʻi.

Job Responsibility

  • Enter and track PTO, adjustments, and reimbursements
  • Manage benefit-related payroll deductions (including childcare benefits)
  • Monitor timekeeping accuracy and support corrections
  • Help answer employee questions related to pay and balances
  • Process new hire paperwork and I-9 verification
  • Set up employees in PRISM / ProService
  • Maintain accurate employee records and files
  • Support onboarding steps like background checks and compliance tracking
  • Keep documentation organized and audit-ready
  • Support HR projects and reporting
  • Ensure processes align with company policies and requirements

Requirements

  • Experienced in HR support, payroll coordination, or benefits administration
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers and systems
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
  • Professional and friendly when working with employees and managers
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi (or have plans to relocate)
  • Experience with PRISM, ProService, or similar systems
  • Strong Excel skills
