This operational HR role requires strong attention to detail and experience managing payroll adjustments, benefits entries, and employee records while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with semi-monthly payroll preparation
Enter and manage paid time off hours, tuition reimbursements, and payroll adjustments
Maintain and monitor time & attendance system accuracy
Review payroll deductions and benefit-related entries
Help resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
Process new hire paperwork including I-9 verification and system setup
Enter new employees into PRISM / ProService systems
Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation
Support background checks and onboarding requirements
Assist with benefits-related documentation and employee inquiries
Ensure HR records comply with state and federal requirements
Maintain organized employee files and documentation
Support audits, reporting requirements, and HR projects
Provide professional and responsive service to employees and managers
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting payroll, HR operations, or benefits administration
Working knowledge of payroll deductions and timekeeping systems
Experience with PRISM, ProService, or similar payroll/PEO systems strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi (or have plans to relocate)
