Job Description

The HR Generalist will be responsible for: Perform end-to-end onboarding activities for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions, completing necessary paperwork, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Facilitate open enrollment process by providing employees with information on benefits packages, assisting them in making informed decisions, and managing enrollment paperwork and systems. Administer payroll processing activities, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, including verifying timesheets, calculating overtime, and resolving any payroll discrepancies. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, such as employment contracts, personnel files, and data privacy requirements. Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Conduct regular audits to ensure HR data integrity and accuracy, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues. Collaborate with managers and employees to address performance management matters, including providing guidance on performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions. Support employee relations by addressing employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, and working to resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner. Stay updated on HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, and proactively recommend improvements to HR policies, processes, and procedures. Assist in various HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, training and development programs, and HR system implementation or upgrades Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc. Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc. Data entry into Excel and the ADP payroll system Enter and audit union calculations via Excel as instructed Download and distribute/save reports as instructed Build and run custom reports out of ADP Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years in HR
  • Payroll processing – there are 300 employees
  • Ideally a similar environment (manufacturing)
  • ADP WFN almost required but might flex (will also try regular ADP)
