As an HR Operations Specialist at FreshBooks, you will be crucial for maintaining the daily functionality of the Human Resources department. You will focus on providing a smooth, data-driven experience for all employees and contractors, managing the process from onboarding to offboarding. Your role involves scaling HR processes and ensuring the accuracy of global HR data. As a vital part of the HR Operations team, you will offer supportive and practical assistance. Ultimately, boosting employee satisfaction and overall organizational effectiveness.
Job Responsibility:
Own HR data integrity by performing regular auditing and accurate data entry within the HRIS (BambooHR), ensuring compliance with local laws and data privacy regulations
Facilitate the core employee lifecycle for a global workforce, including onboarding, offboarding, and administering benefits and leaves across multiple regions
Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries via Jira, Slack, and email, providing professional and timely service resolution
Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and scale HR operations for a growing global workforce
Lead the end-to-end global leave lifecycle, acting as an empathetic partner to employees and managers from initial request through reintegration
Oversee the lifecycle and compliance documentation for global independent contractor and vendor partners
Partner with Finance to ensure accurate and timely submission of all payroll-impacting data, such as new hires, exits, leaves, and salary changes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience
Proficiency navigating GSuite, Slack, and project management/ticketing software like Jira or similar
Hands-on experience maintaining an HRIS
Understanding of the complexities involved in supporting employees across different countries and time zones
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Nice to have:
Experience with BambooHR

Familiarity with Employer of Record (EOR) platforms (e.g. Deel, Remote, Atlas)
