Hunkemöller is looking for a HR Operations Specialist for our international HQ based in Hilversum (NL). As HR Operations Specialist, you are the backbone of our HR function. You are the first point of contact for employees, ensure smooth and compliant HR administration, and actively improve how we work by automating and optimizing HR processes. You will work closely with our HR Advisors and play a key role in supporting our growing, international workforce - including visa sponsorships, relocations, and 30% ruling applications in the Netherlands. This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in HR administration or operations (within NL) who wants to grow in responsibility, impact, and ownership.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related questions
Draft and manage employment contracts, amendments, and HR letters (e.g. promotions, transfers, contract changes)
Manage employee lifecycle administration: onboarding, changes, and offboarding
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files
Support managers and employees with leave, illness, and absence-related topics
Deliver a high-quality employee experience through clear communication and reliable follow-up
Maintain and optimize our HR system (Workday), ensuring data accuracy and consistency
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve HR processes
Advise employees and managers on best ways of working within our HR systems
Support HR projects related to process improvement, tooling, or scalability
Become the global key user of Workday
Coordinate visa applications, relocations, and onboarding of international hires
Support and manage 30% ruling applications and related documentation
Act as liaison with external partners and internal stakeholders on mobility topics
Ensure compliance with Dutch regulations and internal policies
Prepare reports, overviews, and data analyses
Provide administrative support for projects and policy updates
Maintain accurate absence registration and followup (administrative level)
Conducting exit interviews, analysing the on- and offboarding survey, and identifying trends
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in HR Administration / HR Operations or a similar role
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Administration, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
Hands-on experience with HR systems (Workday is a strong plus)
Basic to solid knowledge of Dutch labor law (or strong willingness to learn)
Comfortable working with deadlines and managing multiple priorities
Fluent in English
Dutch is a strong plus
