Job Description:

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Business Partner delivers high-quality generalist support across the employee lifecycle in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role partners with operational leaders to drive people outcomes, build capability, and respond to a broad range of workforce matters to ensure a consistent, compliant, and values-aligned workplace.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide accurate, timely advice and interpretation on the Enterprise Agreement, HR policies and procedures across all HR and ER/IR matters to all stakeholders
  • Coach and influence leaders to effectively manage people issues, apply policies consistently, and build capability in best practice IR/ER application
  • Assist with workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes, ensuring procedural fairness, consistency and alignment with legislative and industrial obligations
  • Analyse and maintain HR data integrity, reporting and employee records to support compliance obligations
  • Partner with site leaders to drive employee engagement, culture and communication initiatives aligned to business and workforce priorities
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Talent Acquisition to ensure accurate, timely and complaint end-to- end people processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems and compliance frameworks to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Promote and role model a safe, transparent, and inclusive culture aligned with Peabody values and leadership expectations

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline
  • Experience in an HR generalist role within mining, heavy industry or civil construction environments
  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and enterprise agreement interpretation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
