The HR Operations Coordinator provides operational support to the site HR function by managing payroll processing and executing core HR administrative processes with a customer service mindset. This role ensures accurate payroll delivery, maintains employee data integrity, and supports compliance through standardized procedures and documentation. This role provides administrative support to the HR function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll in accordance with established policies and timelines ensuring information is current, accurate, and compliant
Audit timecards for accuracy
partner with supervisors to resolve discrepancies
Submit payroll adjustments, retro payments, and corrections
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed
Coordinate with corporate payroll and HRIS teams
Support payroll audits and compliance checks
Own submission and payment of Union benefits/Union dues
Process HR data transactions
Maintain personnel files and audit documentation for compliance
Track attendance points and prepare documentation for HR review
New Hire Orientation support
Generate standard HR letters using approved templates
Support onboarding logistics and system access coordination
Prepare routine HR reports and metrics
Assist with investigation documentation (timelines, records, file prep)
Maintain SOPs and process documentation
Any other additional HR, Engagement, or related tasks as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience
Experience with payroll processing and payroll systems
Minimum of 1-2 years related experience
Ability to support employees with flexibility across all shifts, when needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
