A prominent State Government department is seeking a professional and proactive HR Officer to join their Business Services team on an initial 6 month contract. Job Responsibility:
Recruitment Support: Coordinating the development of Job and Person Specifications and facilitating recruitment activities
Advisory Services: Providing timely and accurate advice to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and WHS issues
Operations & Payroll: Managing the HR mailbox, meeting fortnightly payroll deadlines, and ensuring employee information is accurately maintained in CHRIS 21
WHS Coordination: Acting as an Executive Officer for the Health and Safety committee and coordinating appointments for fire wardens and first aid officers
Requirements:
State Government Recruitment Experience: Proven ability to oversee recruitment activities and coordinate classifications within a public sector framework
Request-to-Fill Management: Experience managing end-to-end recruitment workflows and acting as a liaison with Shared Services and HR departments
Knowledge of Public Sector Contracts: Expertise in interpreting and applying relevant Acts, Awards, and Agreements
HR Reporting & Data: Experience using HRIS (specifically CHRIS 21) to maintain workforce statistics and provide accurate data for salary projections
High Attention to Detail: A track record of preparing high-quality documentation and maintaining current electronic employee and position files
Special Conditions: Engagement is subject to a current, satisfactory National Police Clearance
