Job Description:

We're looking for a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to take the lead on recruitment activity for our team at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, brings extensive recruitment expertise, and can confidently hit the ground running. While recruitment will be your core focus initially, we anticipate that this role will broaden into a more generalist HR position. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate who is willing to develop their employee relations experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take ownership of the full recruitment cycle, including: Managing vacancies from advert to offer
  • Screening and shortlisting candidates
  • Scheduling and coordinating assessments and interviews
  • Managing stakeholder expectations across operational and central teams
  • Supporting and attending assessment centres and job fairs
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Contribute to wider projects and initiatives as required

Requirements:

  • Strong, hands-on recruitment experience, ideally high‑volume, fast‑paced or operational
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritise a busy recruitment pipeline
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
  • A proactive, confident approach with the ability to work autonomously
  • Knowledge of employment law

Nice to have:

  • CIPD Level 5 (qualified, working towards, or willing to work towards)
  • Experience in employee relations
  • Background in construction, security, or unionised workplaces
What we offer:
  • 9-day fortnight pattern Monday to Friday one week, Monday to Thursday the next
  • Current working hours are 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30 - 12:30 on your working Friday
  • Starting salary from £37,500 plus a guaranteed 8.5% monthly bonus (associated with working with the team at HPC)
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • 5% employer pension contributions
  • Life assurance scheme
  • Company sick pay
  • Industry-leading Employee Benefits Platform with lifestyle savings & retail discounts
  • Reward and Recognition programme
  • Employee Assistance Programme supporting health & wellbeing, with access to online GP
  • A strong focus on training, career progression and professional development
