Thriving client within the Construction industry seeks an HR Manager with 7+ years of experience supporting both union and nonunion employees. This HR Manager role consist of assisting with performance management, developing, and implementing HR policies and changes, ensuring compliance with labor laws/regulations, and maintaining the internal payroll system and process. The successful candidate will conduct HR trend analysis, create employee retention strategies, assist with workers’ compensation, implement training and development, and provide conflict resolution. Ideally, we would like an HR Manager with well-rounded human resource and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates
Manage the full hiring cycle: job postings, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding
Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution
Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives
Implement employee engagement programs and career development pathways
Support compensation planning, benchmarking, and salary reviews
Oversee HRIS management, attendance systems, and personnel files
Manage payroll coordination and employee lifecycle administration
Lead HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Coach, mentor, and guide HR generalist
Assist with performance management
Develop and implement HR policies and changes
Ensure compliance with labor laws/regulations
Maintain the internal payroll system and process
Conduct HR trend analysis
Create employee retention strategies
Assist with workers’ compensation
Implement training and development
Provide conflict resolution
Requirements:
7+ years of proven HR experience required
3+ years of supervisory experience
Construction industry experience highly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
