We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our growing construction firm. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role partnering with leadership and operations to support our workforce, maintain compliance, and drive strategic HR initiatives in a dynamic, field-based environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead all HR functions for field and office personnel, including talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and employee relations
Ensure compliance with all employment laws, safety regulations, and company policies unique to the construction industry
Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and performance management processes
Serve as a resource to managers and employees, addressing workplace concerns, promoting positive culture, and resolving conflicts effectively
Develop strategies for workforce planning to meet seasonal and project-based demands
Manage HRIS data, reporting, and documentation for audits and compliance reviews
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives and employee engagement programs
Collaborate with leadership to improve HR policies to attract and retain top talent
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of professional HR experience, preferably in construction or related industries
In-depth understanding of employment law, OSHA requirements, and union or prevailing wage considerations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
ability to influence and partner with all levels
Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to have:
SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred
