We are on the lookout for a hands-on HR Manager who will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a key role in supporting and guiding the HR function across multiple locations, including Greece, the UK, Spain, Switzerland, and France, where our teams are based.
Job Responsibility:
Provide guidance and support to senior management on organizational design, workforce planning & restructuring, and talent development
Contribute to HR projects such as setting-up new entities or payroll presence in new markets
Support a positive and inclusive company culture aligned with company values
Coordinate learning and development initiatives, performance management processes, and succession planning activities
Oversee and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across Switzerland, Spain, the UK, Greece, and France
Act as the main point of contact with local payroll providers, ensuring alignment with tax, social security, and labor regulations in each country
Handle employee relations matters and support managers with day-to-day people issues
Assist in resolving conflicts and provide guidance on performance and communication topics
Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies across all locations
Manage dismissal process if needed
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and labor practices across the payroll countries
Support compliance with GDPR, local labor laws, and internal HR policies
Assist with audits, policy updates, and regulatory reporting when needed
Create new HR policies if needed
Support and manage recruitment activities across regions, ensuring a consistent and positive candidate experience
Decide which positions should be sourced through Linkedin vs. headhunters
Work with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and support recruitment planning
Build and maintain a strong employer brand across international markets, leveraging local insights and global consistency
Support and guide a mid-level HR team member, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
Provide regular input, feedback, and day-to-day support to help this direct report succeed in the role
Requirements:
More than 7 years of experience in core HR functions, primarily in Greece, with international HR experience
Strong understanding of HR practices and ability to apply them to support business needs
Strong knowledge of Greek labor law
knowledge of other countries’ labor laws such as Spain or UK will be a plus
Experience coordinating payroll with vendors and ensuring compliance
Experience supporting managers on organizational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives
Strong ethical judgment and commitment to legal and internal policy compliance
experience with HR audits and policy updates
Ability to support, guide, and develop an HR team member through coaching, feedback, and day-to-day direction
Hands-on experience in full-cycle recruitment, with ability to implement inclusive and effective hiring practices
Awareness of employer branding maintaining a positive candidate experience
Clear verbal and written communication skills in English (additional European languages a plus)
Strong attention to detail in managing HR processes and documentation (e.g., employee contracts)
Skilled in handling employee relations issues with discretion and fairness
