Job Responsibility:
Administer and manage all leave programs, including FMLA, USERRA, disability, and personal leaves
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager leave inquiries
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and tracking within HRIS systems
Partner with HR and leadership to provide guidance and support on leave policies
Develop and maintain employee-facing communication materials
Oversee and administer Workers’ Compensation claims
Stay current on federal and state leave regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Hands-on experience in leave administration or HR operations
Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and related regulations
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
At least 3 years of experience in leave administration or a comparable human resources role
Working knowledge of federal and state leave regulations, including FMLA and related compliance standards
Experience using Workday, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational abilities with close attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping practices
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain processes effectively
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with employees, managers, and HR team members
Nice to have:
Bilingual in English/Spanish
HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
