We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This short-term contract to permanent position focuses on talent acquisition, onboarding, and providing comprehensive HR support within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to recruitment strategies and ensuring a positive employee experience.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to address turnover and attract mission-driven candidates
Represent the organization at community events, job fairs, and outreach programs to build a diverse talent pipeline
Manage the recruitment process from screening and interviewing to onboarding new employees
Coordinate and lead engaging orientation sessions to ensure cultural alignment and retention
Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to provide a seamless onboarding experience for new employees
Ensure compliance with healthcare recruitment regulations, including background checks and verifying certifications
Establish partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to foster long-term pipeline development
Provide support in employee relations, benefits administration, and HR policy inquiries
Act as a champion for diversity and inclusion, implementing strategies to reflect the community served
Work closely with senior HR staff to deliver data-driven solutions that address organizational needs
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
Proficiency in HR administration, including employee relations and benefits management
Demonstrated experience with onboarding processes and HRIS systems
Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles within recruitment
Knowledge of healthcare hiring compliance and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Proven ability to build community relationships and develop sustainable talent pipelines
