We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Queens, New York. This position focuses on maintaining accurate employee records, supporting payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of HR systems and a proactive approach to improving employee experiences.
Job Responsibility:
Update and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Prepare personnel reports and analyze data to support HR decision-making
Process time-off requests, track absences, and manage leave documentation
Assist in onboarding new hires and coordinating offboarding procedures for departing employees
Provide support for payroll activities, including tracking time management and resolving missed punches
Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to HR compliance standards
Administer employee benefits and compensation programs, ensuring smooth operations
Address employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies
Utilize HRMS and related systems to streamline HR operations and reporting
Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace culture and employee satisfaction
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or a related HR position
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and other HR-related software tools
Familiarity with HRMS platforms, payroll systems, and benefits administration
Strong knowledge of compliance standards and employee relations practices
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Ceridian or similar payroll systems is a plus
