We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Long Island City, New York. This is a Contract to permanent position that offers the opportunity to contribute to various human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR processes and systems, and a proactive approach to supporting organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Handle employee relations matters, including addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive workplace environment
Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new team members have a seamless transition into the company
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and addressing inquiries
Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure accurate and organized employee data
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
Assist with compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to labor laws and company standards
Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance employee development and awareness
Collaborate with management to identify and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals
Prepare reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making processes
Manage administrative HR tasks, such as recordkeeping and documentation
Requirements:
Proven experience in employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration
Proficiency in using HRIS systems to manage employee data and processes
Strong knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and relevant labor laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees and management
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
