We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Sebastopol, California. In this role, you will manage key human resources functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with employment laws. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering positive employee relations within the wine industry.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to support organizational goals
Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding processes
Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and personnel files in alignment with company policies and legal requirements
Address employee questions and concerns regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and leave administration
Support employee relations efforts by resolving conflicts and conducting investigations as necessary
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and reporting requirements
Manage benefits administration tasks, including coordinating open enrollment processes
Assist with performance management activities, employee reviews, and training programs
Contribute to HR initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing organizational culture and employee engagement
Provide guidance and support for HRIS systems and related tools to optimize HR processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or a similar role
Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong background in employee relations and conflict resolution
Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
