We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a positive workplace environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and a solid understanding of HR practices.
Job Responsibility:
Manage employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and fostering a positive culture
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization
Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance to staff on available resources
Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee records and streamline HR processes
Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, from sourcing candidates to finalizing job offers
Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop hiring strategies
Support compliance efforts by ensuring HR policies align with local, state, and federal regulations
Facilitate training sessions and development programs focused on attention to detail for employees
Travel occasionally to regional offices within Louisiana to provide HR support
Assist in developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with organizational goals
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role
Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy and foster respectful relationships with staff and patients
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Lawson
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to regional offices within Louisiana
Strong knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, and recruitment processes
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of professionalism
